The top quality wine makers of the Dedicato De Patris wines
Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio
Castello Monte Vibiano Vecchio is located in the pastoral setting of Umbria, between Florence and Rome. Gently rolling hills and a sunny, mild climate create the ideal setting for both vineyards and olive groves. Owner Lorenzo Fasola-Bologna has overhauled both his vineyards and his winery to produce complex and seductive wines. Lorenzo’s family has produced and bottled wine on his family’s estate for countless generations. After making a substantial investment in technology, expert consultants, and varietals, Lorenzo is taking winemaking, as well as his estate olive oil production, to a new level. He won’t stop until his Castello Monte Vibiano wines are a household name.
Vigneto San Vito
A golden treasure lies in the hills outside of Bologna, Italy, and Federico Orsi is busy working to bottle it. Orsi, an Italian who grew up in Brazil, has recently returned to his motherland and turned his hand to winemaking. Orsi and his Italian wife, Carola, have purchased the Vigneto San Vito winery near Orsi’s family estate in the wine region Colli Bolognesi. Orsi’s efforts with the Pignoletto Superiore have elevated the unusual varietal from a regional favorite to an international player. Try this crisp, refreshing white and see for yourself what a treasure Orsi is pouring into his bottles. Look for the trademark drawing of the house wren on the labels. Each of Orsi’s wines features a different bird.
Bodegas Consejo de la Alta
Winemaker Jordi Vidal has the right touch in making selections and blends to make the wines of Consejo de lat Alta true award-winners. From the esteemed Rioja region of Spain, the fine wines of Bodegas Consejo de la Alta are always crowd pleasers. After enjoying just one glass, many enthusiasts order a case of these tempranillo delights. Fruity yet balanced, the wines cover a broad range of price and complexity; drink the Tinto Novo as a satisfying everyday wine, and savor the Reserva on a more special occasion. The vineyards enjoy a sweeping backdrop of craggy, snow-capped Cantabrian Mountains; the chalky-clay soil, sunshine, and northern climate create the perfect situation for cultivating grapes. This Rioja Alta sub-area of the Rioja region is known as one of the world’s great wine-producing locations.
